Sandbridge Beach Family Portraits on Back Bay

Recently we photographed a family of 37 for their mother/grandmother/great-grandmother’s 85th birthday during their vacation at Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach.   Instead of doing the typical beach portraits, the family decided to use their very scenic, large, and roomy backyard that faces Back Bay.

We focused on numerous poses and portraits, starting off with the large group including all 37 family members which included the children, parents, and of course – the celebrant of the day, their parent and grandmother.

Everyone wore their  “I Love Gram”, “I love GG”, and “I Love Mom” custom-made white t-shirts with jeans which looked great on the shots!

We then photographed just their grandmother with her children, then we photographed her with just the grand kids.

Afterward, we photographed everyone of the family members  on the boat dock at their backyard and got a pretty good group shot there (pictured top of post), then photographed the kids making a pyramid pictured below
