Ryan & Meghann’s Deep Creek Landing Marina Wedding, Newport News VA

This past fall we photographed Ryan and Meghann’s wedding at the Deep Creek Landing Marina in Newport News, VA. It was a very simple and intimate outdoor fall wedding with less than a hundred of their closest friends and family.

We started the day at the marina where their family was setting up the outdoor ceremony area and the indoor reception. To coordinate with the marina theme, they chose marine blues, purples, and reds as their wedding colors. They incorporated this theme throughout the many flower decorations, linens, and even the silverware. They also decorated the outdoor gazebo with the ribbons and lighting.

After we took a few detail shots of the ceremony site we headed to Meghann’s parent’s home for getting ready shots. Thankfully they live less than five minutes away so we didn’t have to lose precious minutes due to travel time and traffic between locations. We photographed a few formals and headed back to the marina.

The ceremony started right as the sun was setting just right over the water behind the gazeebo. The waterfront setting was beautiful and the very warm tones highlighted every feature of the wooded surroundings. We could not have asked for more perfect lighting and weather for their wedding.
