Robert & Kelly’s Croatan Beach Wedding

Last summer, we photographed Robert and Kelly’s beach-front wedding at Croatan Beach in Virginia Beach, VA.

It was a simple beach wedding during the busy summer month of July that started around ten in the morning.

While Robert and the rest of the family were setting up the ceremony site on the beach, the summer beach goers were already lining up the shore along the site.

The ceremony started off with the flower girl’s entrance from the beach access, down towards the shore line, followed by Kelly escorted by her father.

The ceremony lasted about twenty minutes and moments later followed by the formal portraits with the family.

After the beach ceremony, we drove about an hour away to Kelly’s father’s home in Suffolk, where the reception was held.

They had a large outdoor white tent with tables setup which had beautiful floral center pieces, glass bottles filled with sand, and sea shells that decorated the table length.

This outdoor wedding ceremony and reception was quite intimate which they shared with close family and friends.

Robert and Kelly had a friend bring their huge tailgating barbecue grill setup where they had chicken, steak, corn, and other delicious food cooking on.

We photographed the entirety of the reception from beginning to end, we were even invited to enjoy the great delicious food and be part of their celebration!
