Last Monday, Crystal and I hit our first photography gig! A young couple from Kentucky drove 12 hours to have their simple beach wedding on the sands. The bride wore a simple spring dress and the groom wore khakis with an off white dress top. It was only the two of them along with the wedding officiant, and of course us
The sun was setting in the background around 5 pm and the shadows of the building left only a small sunlit area along the beach.

There we were, nervous and anxious, at the same time relieved that the two couples understood that we’re only amateurs. I started to ‘direct’ them and queued them while taking their photos and finally everything was working out well. I finally got into my comfort zone and got so into it, that I even got into the water and took shots while the waves started to come higher and higher.

Nearly an hour later, it was over with. The two couples thanked us, and we were on our way home. Proud, happy, and VERY relieved of our first photography gig! I learned a lot from peoples feedbacks, so for those that did give advice and feedback, thank you guys! It’s an amazing feeling knowing that you’ve done an awesome job through hard work!

Here’s what Ashley-Rose (the bride) e-mailed me when we sent them their proofs:
“We cannot thank you enough!!! These pictures are AMAZING! These pictures are absolutely amazing, they completely reflect who we are and what we wanted.”
