Newborn Baby Photography with the Larkins

Over the past couple of years, we’ve had amazing maternity and baby portraits taken, and this is one definitely to remember! Last year, we had another amazing newborn photography session with the Larkins family. Emily gave birth to a very healthy baby boy and had wanted to shoot her newborn’s photos along with the family and their niece.

We went to their home and had setup our portable gear and lighting with us and setup a miniature studio in their living room. This was a first for us and I am quite pleased that it all worked out.

The shots they requested consisted of mostly black and white shots and featured the family itself, Tristan with Mom, and Tristan with Dad, a few solo shots of Tristan, and finally a last series with Tristan’s baby cousin.

Lots of patience and preparedness helped in this photo shoot we and we are very very pleased with the outcome. We took our time taking the photos and not rushed so that we can get the baby at its natural state.

This was also our first time shooting more than one baby in a session and it was quite fun. At first the babies started to get restless and began to cry when the mothers tried to put them together, but after a few bottles of milk the babies finally posed together just fine for their grand finale shot!
