Children Photography: A Fun-filled Weekend with Kids!

Over spring, Crystal and I focused on working on updating our children’s photography portfolio this weekend with the help of our Facebook fans at Mt. Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, VA. We announced it on our status post on our Gamboa Photos Facebook Fan Page, asking people who were available this weekend to a children photography session for babies and also toddlers. We had such a good turn out and response from fans, that we were able to fully book the entire weekend along with our scheduled clients.

Our first scheduled shoot was with two and a half year-old toddler named Lily. She was shy at first, but once the camera started taking photos, she immediately warmed up fast, and became really photogenic and we shot with her for about a forty minutes.

Our next session came in just minutes after Lily’s session all the way from Newport News, VA and consisted of two children, Aiden who is almost two years old and Elijah who was only three months old. Aiden was definitely the most energetic of the day, as he kept running up and down the hill – and so did I to capture his shots.

Crystal focused on Elijah and took his photographs while he laid very relaxed on the grassy hill and while I kept I was in the background chasing after Aiden up and down the side of the hill. Their session lasted about a good forty-five minutes and right before we finished their session, the following scheduled group were already climbing up the hill

Addie, a sixteen-month old toddler, followed right after Aiden and Elijah’s session and it immediately started as soon as she was taken off her stroller. Addie is very warm, friendly, and curious, every time she came close to either Crystal and I, she thought that our other camera was a phone and would hold it to her ear and say Hello?

We finished off our weekend kids session with a client of ours, this time photograping her grandson Max. Max is a toddler born to be in front of the camera, he has such a great smile and energetic charisma! Just like Aiden and the others, Max is one energetic toddler who can run a mile a minute! Who would have thought toddlers are capable of such speeds

Such a blast photographing all the children this weekend and Crystal and I were very pleased that everything worked out! The weather was amazing and it allowed us to be able to capture lots of shots with vibrancy! Thanks again to our Facebook Fans and clients for allowing us to capture your child’s every moment!
