We recently photographed Miho and her family at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens off of Shore Drive in Norfolk, VA.

We photographed them during noon within the surroundings of the Hermitage home were lush flower gardens and trails were easily accessible.  The Hermitage provides a great backdrop with its lush well-kept gardens and greenery for any kind of photography.

Just a month ago the reconstruction and renovation of Town Point Park in Downtown Norfolk, VA was finally competed. This particular part of Downtown Norfolk now boasts its fresh new look with the installation of a Water Fountain Park near the Waterside.

While we await the arrival of our clients for their on-location engagement photo shoot, we saw a young woman take her child to play by the Water Fountains.

Today we had another successful on-location photoshoot with models Gracen Gravity and Robert Strazzullo at Downtown Norfolk and at our studio in Virginia Beach, VA with the amazing Allison Stout a very talented makeup artist and hairstylist.

Robert Strazzullo & Gracen Gravity

We started off at our studio to do simple makeup and hair for both Robert and Gracen Gravity keeping it simple and natural.  Right before noon we left our studio to embark at our ‘field trip’ to Downtown Norfolk and walked several blocks just for the right spots.

We then ended our on-location photoshoot near Harbor Park where construction is currently being underway for the HRT Lightrail System.  We focused on commercial styled shots featuring spring/summer wear.

Afterward we headed back to our studio where we focused on more shots with both models featuring solos and couple shots where the day’s photoshoot also ended.

Special thanks to our hardworking models Robert Strazzullo and Gracen Gravity, and especially Allison Stout who is always able to follow thru with all the skills and creativity to our photoshoots!

For the last few weeks and especially these last couple of days, Crystal and I have been spending a lot of time at our studio working on photo shoots and our post processing. A couple of weeks ago, Crystal and I were able to get ourselves a pretty nice office space in Virginia Beach where we’re able to set up our studio. Since then, we’ve pretty much been ‘living’ there every day and all weekend working harder than ever! It’s a really greate place to have an office space that can be used into a studio.

A Fun and Long Evening…

Just last night, Crystal and I had a excellent time working on a photo shoot with our clients Alysha and Mikeal that lasted for about 2 hours, we were having so much fun we simply had forgotten about time! The shoot started around 7 and ended just a little after 9 PM when Alysha and Mikeal finished selecting the photos they liked.

Soon afterwads, Crystal and I grabbed some Taco Bell to soothe our munchies and drove our selves back to the studio around 10 PM. We were only thinking about working on some teaser photos and then heading home to call it a night, but have decided to just go ahead and finish editing the 29 photos that were selected and posting them for Alysha and Mikeal to see.

10 PM to just about 2:30 AM the following morning, Crystal and I were able to complete their 29 photos that were retouched, enhanced, and posted on 2 social networking websites (Myspace/Facebook) and at the same time built a custom proofing page on our GamboaPhotos.com website where they can download the branded proofs.

Did I mention that right before the photo shoot, we worked an 8-hour shift at my day job :P ?

Our Dedication :)

Last night’s shoot was definitely a Very Fast Turn Around Time for our clients. Normally we give ourselves 2-3 weeks to complete the project and only give a few teasers out, but since the shoot turned out so great that we decided to go ahead and complete the project that night! It’s not the first time we’ve done this before, we’ve done a photo shoot that lasted till 3 AM with one of the models (Brian Fockler) we’ve worked with last Sunday! We’re definitely dedicated and very passionate with what we enjoy… photography :)

It was all worth it!

Hard work definitely pays off! When we first started out with our photography last year in October 2007, we never expected that 8 months later to be in an office space setting up a studio. But when opportunity knocks on the door, we’re both quick to jump and get at it! Although there are days where we’re tired from sleepless nights or near towards being broke, we never give up on our photography! It was all worth it because without the hard work that we’ve been putting in it, investments, and all the things we’ve done to get to where we are, it has gotten us to this point.

Special thanks to those who keeps supporting us out there and our clients and models whom we had pleasure working with! Without your support we won’t be any where or be able to keep doing what we do!

In the end…

Hard work and dedication definitely is a MUST espcially starting a venture like this :) This is just the beginning!
