On President’s Day we photographed newly designed t-shirts and merchandise by Taglish Tees. Filipino Fighting Arts Academy (FFAA, special thanks to Chief Instructor Brian ‘Spunk’ Trial) were kind enough to let us use their space during evening and we were able to successfully setup shop and photograph their new shirts and merchandise. Mike and Angelique from Taglish Tees gathered models to wear the new shirts for the shoot which included Jackie from our previous shoots, Maymar’s Brian Mayor, and even local dance crew YFAMD (Young Filipino American Modern Dancers of Virginia).

Gamboa Photos team member James Lewis provided behind the scenes video coverage for us to create a short video seen above. Make sure you click on the 720p setting on the youtube video to watch in HD! Hope you guys enjoy watching this behind the scenes clip, another version will be rolled out later on so keep coming to check our blog!

Here’s just a few of their new Filipino T-shirt designs and merchandise:

Looking through all the weddings we have posted on our photo blog, it came to me as a surprise that I have not posted the actual slideshow of our first full-fledged official wedding ever! Dominique and Kilan’s peacock themed wedding held on September 27th, 2008.

We’ve posted their still shots and teasers on the blog, but have always linked their wedding slideshow on their custom built website www.septembertwentyseventh.com which we had done for them. So it’s about time that I’ve finally posted it on here :)

Going through some old photos this past weekend while trying to update our portfolio, Crystal and I stumbled on a shoot we did back in the fall of 2008 with model Lindsey and Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Allison Stout.

We chose one of Lindsey’s shots to play around with and  went for a high-contrast, exaggerated black and white finish to add on to the photo and that’s what we came up with above.  Hope you guys enjoy it! Let us know what you think by commenting below!

Last night we worked with  Brian Fockler as part of our FACES! Project and here’s a few of the shots we were able to capture.

For this project I wanted to get a bank of facial expressions from our participants, from neutral look to various other ones that will bring out different characteristics of the face.

This year I’ve got another project rolling out, pretty much I want to focus on FACES!  Its going to be an ongoing project that I’ll be updating once in a while, trying to capture people with interesting facial expression from neutral to the over-the-top.

So I’m debuting this particular series with a good friend – actor Justin Tully.  I first thought of doing this particular series about a year ago and it was actually right after we first shot with Justin that I thought he’d be the right person to start it off with.

It’s been a little over a year and a half since we shot with model / actor Justin Tully (see Model Photo Shoot with Justin Tully) and since then he’s moved on to working in Los Angeles working on his acting career and plenty other gigs.

After all the busy work we’ve been going through closing off 2009, we were finally able to catch up with Justin and work on a late Sunday evening shoot just days before he leaves for Baltimore.

Yesterday I was inspired to shoot a simple jeans look with a female model, and Trandy was able to work with me on this particular shoot.

I’m always trying to find ways to refine this particular look (not sure if our followers have noticed this but for some reason… I’m obsessed with just a simple jeans black and white shot… ).

Model Photoshoot with David

January 3, 2010

During the last week of December we shot with David an aspiring model who’s currently in the military.  He wanted to test the waters in modeling and wanted to get some shots done before deploying.

Seen here is our favorite and well shot photo of David featuring his physique with dramatic lighting and simple casual outfit.  If you are interested in booking a model portfolio development package with us, feel free to contact us at anytime!
