Spring is fast approaching and with it comes great weather and more outdoor shoots. This past Saturday was the perfect day for an engagement session with Michelle and Charles. We were able to do the session at both the City Center at Newport News and later at the Mariner’s Museum park.
They were both open to our ideas and we all had a great time! We can’t wait until their August wedding!

We had a wonderful engagement session with Mark and Crystal. They made us feel very comfortable and it definitely shows in our pictures. Matt and I had many questions about posing, camera angles, different scenery, etc., but we were put at ease when Mark and Crystal gave us positive feedback. They are fun to work with and very professional.
We are thrilled with our engagement pictures and can’t wait for Mark and Crystal to capture the special moments at our wedding. Thank you both!
A couple of weeks ago we photographed soon-to-be husband and wife Michele and Matt for their engagement session which we photographed in various locations in and around Downtown Norfolk, VA.
We first started off in Ghent right across the Chrysler Museum near a park and neighborhood, then around Freemason Street, and finishing off their engagement session at Norfolk Waterside.

“My fiance, Frank received unexpected and last minute orders to deploy to Iraq. We didn’t have a lot of time to plan but wanted to capture great memories of our engagement. It was important that we had a photographer that could do this for us. When the one you love is 7000 miles away pictures are sometimes the only thing you have.
I had originally scheduled another photographer but something just didn’t feel right. After looking around online, I found Mark and Crystal. Their professionalism and quality of work impressed me! So much that I canceled the other photographer and went with Gamboa.

A couple weeks ago, we did an engagement session with Aimee and Frank at Red Wing Park and the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Sunday started off as a very busy morning for the Gamboa Photos team. Ejay, Mark, and I left Virginia Beach around 6 AM and drove to Richmond, VA for an engagement session with Janel and Mike.
Byrd Park was full of photo opportunities for the couple. Since neither Janel & Mike had visited Byrd Park before we let them both explore the park together while we took a few candid photos of them. After walking around the park Janel and Mike suggested that we head towards a big tower that they passed by on the way to the park.
