Stepping out of his norm for the 2009 Virginia Fashion Week, Brehon designed and unraveled his boldly colorful spring and summer 2010 collection at the Virginia Fashion Show this past Friday. He mixed his classic monochromatic style with colorful bold colors and used print fabrics to create his collection.
We were able to photograph 26 unique pieces in span of four hours for his Look Book with makeup and hair done by Desirai Tolbert with 4 models – Shaunda, Letitia, Rebekah, and Brandon.
Pop Star! Magazine just recently put out its November 2009 issue in stores and we are happy to announce that the photos we took of fifteen-year-old singer Celeste Kellogg are featured in two pages of the magazine!

It’s been a few week since we shot this particular series and we’re just finally are able to post these long awaited photos of models Yes & Jeremy for their ‘Secret Rendezvous’ photo shoot.
The story is about two secret lovers, portrayed by models Yes and Jeremy, meeting at a secluded beach away from peering eyes. We wanted the models to show a strong connection and intimacy in each shot – we believe they nailed it.
About a month ago we got in touch with local fashion designer Brehon Williams and shot a session with him for his spring fashion line with various models. Yesterday, he gave me a call wondering if the Gamboa Photos team would be able to shoot his latest fashion line.
We shot the three various outfits with model Letitia starting off first with a very retro, futuristic look complete with a silver outfit with matching cyclopse like eyewear.
Working on a photo shoot with model Kimberly Stahl just brought our photography to a new dimension. Tonight was very interesting and exciting because it’s a whole different style that we have never done before.
With Kimberly’s fierce look, Allison’s hair and make-up skills, and our team made this project a huge success. With the help of Down To Earth Boutique & Gallery from Suffolk, we were able to capture a few of the unique looks we were aiming for featuring their Drawstring Wearable Options from Letau Designs.
Just a few hours ago we finished another successful photo shoot with models Kristyn Nicole and Robert Strazzullo with makeup and hairstylist Allison Stout.
In preparation for the photo shoot, Allison created her own batch of bronzer to darken both Robert and Kristyn and give them both a natural looking tan with a hint of shimmer.
By doing this we were able to get more definition from their bodies and gave off a great effect for the photo. The bronzer worked out much better than anticipated and we will be using this technique more in the future.
Within the last year Crystal and I have been very fortunate to have our work published in various magazines, catalogs, and online articles.
A few of our Days Difference band photos were published in printed magazines such as Girls’ Life Magazine that was recently published for their April/May 2009 edition.
This afternoon and evening, we shot with Emily who is a local model signed to Modelogic agency in Richmond with makeup artist Theresa Little as well as hairstylist Emily Flood. This is actually Emily’s second photo shoot since we first shot with her last Friday along with model Kristyn Nicole. This shoot focused on the last set of looks we had for Emily that we were not able to complete that Friday evening.
The first looks on Friday were focused on beauty shots and progressing on to a themed editorial style shot. Her beauty shots focused on minimal makeup as well as giving her a cleancut hairdo that had her hair slick back to showcase her facial structure. Then we finished off Friday’s set for Emily with a vintage asian style look complete with samurai swords.
Today’s shoot focused on another set of looks which we were not able to accomplish this past Friday. Today’s shoot covered a more diverse look and feel, with ideas ranging from a vintage night-scene mixed in with high-fashion to commercial looks all brought together.
Today’s shoot was a great finish to a long week’s back to back photo shoot and hectic schedule. The team performed well and all the looks were executed well above our expectations. We were able to get the shots needed and more! Working with Emily was a blast since she’s very easy to work with, took direction well, and has that great model figure! Makeup artist Theresa and hairstylist Emily was another great experience and has proven to be a great resource.
Today’s shoot really proves that when a team comes together to form a vision, that vision soon turns into reality as everything comes together that day of the shoot. We’re proud and very happy with all the outcome from this week’s shoots. Our deepest thanks and appreciation to those all involved!
