Going through some old photos this past weekend while trying to update our portfolio, Crystal and I stumbled on a shoot we did back in the fall of 2008 with model Lindsey and Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Allison Stout.
We chose one of Lindsey’s shots to play around with and went for a high-contrast, exaggerated black and white finish to add on to the photo and that’s what we came up with above. Hope you guys enjoy it! Let us know what you think by commenting below!
A simple meeting with Robert Strazzullo became a full-on photo shoot that same evening with the team and makeup/hairstylist Allison Stout.
Robert had four looks that he had in mind being captured, one of which is pictured above that was towards the end of the photo shoot with a focus on a creative edge.
To finish off our long day of shooting this past Sunday, our last photo shoot was with model Robert Strazzullo.
We’ve worked with Robert numerous times this year and every time that we do, the bar is always set higher and higher as viewers of this post will see in the progression of the photos.
Working on a photo shoot with model Kimberly Stahl just brought our photography to a new dimension. Tonight was very interesting and exciting because it’s a whole different style that we have never done before.
With Kimberly’s fierce look, Allison’s hair and make-up skills, and our team made this project a huge success. With the help of Down To Earth Boutique & Gallery from Suffolk, we were able to capture a few of the unique looks we were aiming for featuring their Drawstring Wearable Options from Letau Designs.
Tonight we shot with makeup and hair stylist Krystar who’s also our model for this evening. We were looking to shoot a few headshots that highlight simplicity and creativeness that gives the shot ( for lack of a better term) it’s ‘UMPH!’
We shot various looks and we were able to accomplish and capture the shots we wanted. Krystar was an awesome model to work with as well as a very very talented and creative makeup and hairstylist.
This past Friday, after a long week of work and lots of things going on, we decided to do a shoot that was fun and invigorating.
With the help of my best buddy and co-worker James, we were able to accomplish one of our ’stress relieving’ shoots. When we mean ’stress relieving’ we mean a shoot where we can just do something fun and be able to relieve the stress. We even caught it on video to share with you folks!
Today we had another successful on-location photoshoot with models Gracen Gravity and Robert Strazzullo at Downtown Norfolk and at our studio in Virginia Beach, VA with the amazing Allison Stout a very talented makeup artist and hairstylist.
We started off at our studio to do simple makeup and hair for both Robert and Gracen Gravity keeping it simple and natural. Right before noon we left our studio to embark at our ‘field trip’ to Downtown Norfolk and walked several blocks just for the right spots.
We then ended our on-location photoshoot near Harbor Park where construction is currently being underway for the HRT Lightrail System. We focused on commercial styled shots featuring spring/summer wear.
Afterward we headed back to our studio where we focused on more shots with both models featuring solos and couple shots where the day’s photoshoot also ended.
Special thanks to our hardworking models Robert Strazzullo and Gracen Gravity, and especially Allison Stout who is always able to follow thru with all the skills and creativity to our photoshoots!
